This video was created from a Cine Film taken by a Glynneath gentleman Gordon Lebon, the cine film is in the possession of Glyn Davies and was digitised by Saturn Film 1969 owned by David John Sack, I had the easy bit of making the video. The video shows the Jazz Band competition organised by Cwmgwrach Minorettes and was held in 1981 on the Cwmgwrach School field.
Taking part in the competition were 4 Jazz bands, two from England and two local Swansea bands. From England were the Wyrley Bird Paraders from Great Wyrley, Cannock, Staffordshire, and the Royal Rushells from Rushall, Walsall, West Midlands. The two local Swansea bands were the Bonymaen Troubadours and Talycopa from Llansamlet.
